04/05/2022 - 8:00am to 5:00pmJanuary 3, 2022 - December 12, 2022 - Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota This one-day multidisciplinary, interactive course will provide an introduction to simulation-based education. Topics covered include discussion of: principles of experiential learning, planning a simulation course, writing and implementing scenarios, and debriefing strategies. Participants also have opportunities to practice scenario writing and debriefing with the guidance of experienced faculty. Enrollment is limited to encourage discussion between attendees.

04/05/2022 - 8:00am to 9:00amSummary: This presentation intends to enrich the culture of academic pursuits of clinical staff, the librarian will provide a live demonstration of Mayo Clinic Libraries resources and databases to teach participants how to run basic but effective literature searches. The librarian will show participants how to find journals, journal articles, books, and eBooks as well as a Table of Contents service that can notify users when new articles are published and provide easy full text material. The librarian will introduce PubMed to highlight recent upgrades, keyword and subject heading searching, limiting results, and accessing content. A question-and-answer period will be included at the end of the presentation.
