Denise Millstine, M.D.
PRESENTER BIO
Denise Millstine, M.D. is a consultant in Women's Health Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and the Medical Director for the Office of Joy & Well-being at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Millstine directs the Section of Integrative Medicine in the Department of General Internal Medicine in Arizona. She also co-course directs the Student Community Clinic Course with Mayo Medical School located at St. Vincent de Paul and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians..
A board certified physician in Internal Medicine, Dr. Millstine graduated from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood Illinois. She completed her residency and chief residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She is fellowship trianed in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She trained at Harvard University on Effective Writing for Healthcare Professional. She is a certified menopause expert with the Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society).
Dr. Millstine contributes to the Mayo Clinic Health Letter. She directs a Women’s Health Blog Health Letter+ | Articles and Podcasts - Mayo Clinic Press for Mayo Clinic Press. She is also the creator and host of the Mayo Clinic Read.Talk.Grow. podcast Best Health Podcasts | Mayo Clinic Press Podcasts where she talks books and health with authors and experts. Dr. Millstine interests are women's health, Integrative Medicine, menopause, narrative medicine and the use of books and reading to improve health understanding and empathy. Dr. Millstine provides consults in Integrative Medicine through the Women's Health Center.
