Topic:  Update on Perioperative Stroke: What Every Anesthesiologist Should Know

Objectives:

1. Define the epidemiology, presentation, prevention and management of stroke after cardiac and non-cardiac surgery;
2. Summarize current recommendations and published guidelines on perioperative stroke;
3. Determine areas for future research on perioperative stroke.
