LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the activities, the participant should be able to:
- Evaluate the significance of performing a SUIT (systematic ultrasound imaging technique) of the brachial plexus above the clavicle.
- Recognize key sonoanatomic landmarks in the neck.
- Identify the Individual elements of the brachial plexus above the clavicle.
- Identify common anatomical variations of the brachial plexus relevant for brachial plexus blockade.
- Demonstrate the target ultrasound window for performing some of the recent refinements in brachial plexus blockade (superior trunk block, selective trunk block - SeTB, subfascial and intertruncal approach for supraclavicular BPB).
- Evaluate the rationale behind the refinements in brachial plexus blockade above the clavicle.
