LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the activities, the participant should be able to:

  1. Evaluate the significance of performing a SUIT (systematic ultrasound imaging technique) of the brachial plexus above the clavicle.
  2. Recognize key sonoanatomic landmarks in the neck.
  3. Identify the Individual elements of the brachial plexus above the clavicle.
  4. Identify common anatomical variations of the brachial plexus relevant for brachial plexus blockade.
  5. Demonstrate the target ultrasound window for performing some of the recent refinements in brachial plexus blockade (superior trunk block, selective trunk block - SeTB, subfascial and intertruncal approach for supraclavicular BPB).
  6. Evaluate the rationale behind the refinements in brachial plexus blockade above the clavicle.
