DESCRIPTION
Transplant Grand Rounds are educational sessions or presentations in the field of organ transplantation that are designed to provide valuable insights, share knowledge, encourage innovation, and promote growth of our Transplant Center.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Transplant Grand Rounds is targeted to all members of the Transplant Team: MD, PA, NP, RN, social work, dietician, pharmacist.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Examine the latest advancements in transplantation techniques, procedures, and technologies.
- Examine strategies for immunosuppression management.
- Assess the process of donor and recipient evaluation.
- Analyze potential organ donor evaluation and procurement processes.
- Assess ethical and legal issues related to transplantation, organ allocation, consent, and end-of-life care.
- Identify collaboration opportunities among healthcare professionals within transplant care.
- Restate importance of providing patient-centered care, addressing their needs, and education.
- Analyze healthcare disparities in transplantation for underserved populations.
- Examine transplant outcomes.
- Review regulatory and accreditation requirements for transplant programs and institutions.
