DESCRIPTION
SSMC Grand Rounds is a weekly CME activity take place every Wednesday at 12:00 pm. The annual schedule of grand rounds is distributed to all medical department chairs with assigned dates where they nominate speakers and topics after examining educational needs and gabs in order to stay current in significant emerging areas that may be outside of their primary practice. Each medical department would assign selected topics to faculty within the department or invite qualified outside speakers to give Grand Rounds on the selected topics. SSMC Grand rounds often show the overall picture, incorporating years of experience with patients as well as the latest update in healthcare fields. All medical and clinical staff (all specialties) at SSMC and medical universities, including community health care providers, nursing/allied health professionals, residents, and medical students, are the main audience.
