Learning Objectives – Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the leading cause of mortality for children in the United States.
 - Report the geographic areas in Duval County with the highest risks for pediatric trauma and state the high rates of recidivism for pediatric trauma patients.
 - Describe the long-term effects of trauma outside of the acute injury phase and the lack of resources to address these chronic problems.
