TITLE:  Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Peri-Arrest & Cardiac Arrest

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the role of POCUS in cardiac arrest management
  • Recognize the limitations of traditional pulse checks
  • Describe how ultrasound informs resuscitation strategies
  • Differentiate between true PEA and pseudo-PEA
  • Identify reversible causes using ultrasound 
  • Discuss future directions, including resuscitative transesophageal echocardiogram.
