Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the mechanisms by which liver diseases affect the brain, including hepatic encephalopathy
  • Identify and assess neurological symptoms associated with liver disorders
  • Utilize appropriate diagnostic tools and tests for evaluating liver function and neurological status, including imaging and biochemical tests
  • Discuss treatment options for managing of critically elevated ICP in patients with liver disease, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Develop comprehensive management plans for patients with concurrent liver and neurological disorders, considering the interplay between the two systems
