Bio:
Jenni Rogers MS, CCLS, Child Life Specialist joined Mayo Clinic Arizona in Jan 2022, following 25+ years’ experience from a variety of settings, primarily Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The role of a Child Life Specialist is to promote effective coping with acute illness, hospitalization, and end of life based on a child/teen’s developmental level through play, preparation, education, and self-expression activities. As Mayo Clinic Arizona’s admission age is 16y, she supports pediatric patients of all ages who come through the ED and outpatient clinics, patients between the ages of 16 ad 25 (including adults with developmental delay) who are experiencing ineffective coping during hospitalization and provides interventions to children of all ages who have a seriously ill parent.
