1. Interpret the natural history of glucose tolerance in individuals at risk for type 2 diabetes.

2. Formulate management strategies for each point along a patient's hyperglycemic journey.

3. Apply current paradigm for selection of pharmacotherapies for type 2 diabetes.

4. Demonstrate the approach to differentiating type 1 from type 2 diabetes.
