LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the multidisciplinary uncertainties in the nomenclature, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and diagnosis of idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM)
- Recognize ultrasound imaging features, procedural challenges, and a framework for intralesional steroid injection for IGM
- Review a case using intralesional steroid injection and employ clinical and sonographic diagrams to facilitate longitudinal follow-up
- Examine current Mayo patients with IGM receiving intralesional steroid injections
- Critique a proposed study that will use multiparameter spatial imaging
