PRESENTER BIO
Dr. Blazar is a Regents Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Blood and Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy. Dr. Blazar is the recipient of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund Land Grant Chair in Pediatric Oncology to recognize his work in the development of novel immune-based therapies. He is the Founding Director of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute and the Founding Director of the Center for Translational Medicine.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES 
After the presentation, attendees will be able to:

• Recognize the biological properties of regulatory T cells (Tregs) that are well-suited for regaining immune homeostasis

• Identify allogeneic transplant recipients that may benefit from Treg therapies

• Assess the impact of CAR Tregs on acute and autoimmune-like graft-vs-host disease

• Describe the biological and outcome differences for CD4 peripheral Tregs and in vitro induced Tregs
