This session will talk about the field of medical social work and the importance of this profession within the multidisciplinary team. The session will allow you to reflect on your decision to enter the field of medical social work and consider goals for the future of this field. 

Objectives for this session: 

1.Examine the role of social work in health care through history and relate this to the future
2.Reflect on your decision to enter the field of social work and identify your motivation to  remain in this field 
3.Recognize the importance of ongoing professional development within social work
