Wes Price is a Board-Certified Medical Illustrator with 25 years professional experience in illustration, animation and design. He enjoys experimenting with digital sculpting, 3D scanning/printing and Extended Reality (XR). He co-developed the Center for BioMedical Visualization at St. George’s University School of Medicine, in Grenada; a faculty collective which pioneers medical illustration for education and research in the Caribbean region and beyond. Recently Wes returned to the United States to become Senior Director of Biomedical and Scientific Visualization at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He now strives to influence the future of medical education as a vital member of this world-renowned institution. As a spirited collaborator with effective partnership skills, Wes has built a reputation of driving conceptual thinking and results through cooperation and encouragement. What forms the core of his expanding acumen is a creative approach to business strategies and his interpretation of trends in visualization, especially in developing 3D technologies in order to best meet the needs of medical education.
