Janae Kirsch, Ph.D.
INTRODUCTION
Dr. Janae Kirsch is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and second-year clinical health psychology fellow working primarily in onco-psychology under the supervision of Dr. Shawna Ehlers. She completed her doctoral training in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida and internship at Duke University Medical Center. Throughout Dr. Kirsch’s training, she has specialized in onco-psychology and works with patients diagnosed with cancer throughout the cancer care continuum.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe four types of humor and recognize how they can be applied to the therapeutic relationship.
- Identify components of cancer distress.
- Describe at least one method for improving inclusion of study participants when designing a research study.

Digital Technologies in the Treatment of Substance Use Disorder
Karolina Mlynek, M.D.
INTRODUCTION
Dr. Mlynek completed her residency at the Case Western Reserve Metrohealth System in Cleveland, OH. She was a Consultation-Liaison Fellow at Emory in Atlanta, GA, and she is currently completing her Addiction Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe the current state of the research on Addiction Treatment through telehealth.
Examine the different telehealth treatment options.
Identify unique treatment aspects of telehealth in addiction treatment.
