Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Identify common intravenous medications that can be used for procedural sedation in the ICU
- Describe complications that are associated with sedative medications
- Become familiar with remimazolam, a new drug for procedural sedation
- Recognize the available evidence behind the current applications of remimazolam
- Integrate the use of remimazolam into sedation practices in the intensive care unit
