Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the physical and psychological impact of restrictive intake and the rising incidence of restrictive eating disorders.
  • Describe the key components of a medical evaluation for anorexia nervosa, including indicators of medical instability which warrant inpatient admission.
  • Differentiate between levels of care for AN treatment and utilize this knowledge to effectively co-manage patients undergoing treatment.
  • Examine a new outpatient-based model for treatment of restrictive eating disorders called FBT-PC (Family Based Treatment- Primary Care).
