PRESENTER BIO
Cristina Valencia-Sanchez, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurologist at Mayo Clinic Arizona specializing in Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology. She obtained her medical degree from the Autonoma University in Madrid. Dr. Valencia-Sanchez completed Neurology residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She then pursued a Multiple Sclerosis fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona, followed by an Autoimmune Neurology fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Dr. Valencia-Sanchez’s clinical focus includes multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, autoimmune encephalitis, paraneoplastic neurological syndromes and neurological complications of immune checkpoint inhibitor cancer immunotherapy. She is an Editorial Board member for the American Academy of Neurology magazine “Brain & Life” in Spanish.
