Optional Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop - Tuesday, October 14, 2025 - Disney's Contemporary Resort - Lake Buena Vista, Florida

This optional Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) workshop will use practical didactic instruction as well as hands-on learning in small groups. This includes an introduction to POCUS, lung, volume assessment, kidney/bladder, cardiac and DVT.  This workshop is offered as a supplement to the main lectures for those interested in mastering the required skills for the safe and appropriate use of POCUS in their everyday practice.

Target Audience

The workshop is designed for practicing general internists, family practice physicians, sub-specialists, and advanced practitioners. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Interpret results of hand-held ultrasound device for evaluation of kidney, bladder, lung, DVT, volume assessment, and cardiac 
  • Demonstrate use of hand-held ultrasound device for evaluation of kidney, bladder, lung, DVT, volume assessment, and cardiac
