Summary: This study looks at the relation of kidney outcomes in patients with CKD to total and plain water intake and urine volume. 1265 CKD patients were evaluated. Both low and high plain water intake may not be beneficial in CKD.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Explain the relationship between water intake and progression of kidney failure in CKD.
- Review the current literature and data regarding fluid intake and CKD progression
