Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the psychological impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences
  • Summarize the impact racism and microaggressions have on the mental health of African American and Latino individuals
  • Describe the intersection of trauma and racism
  • Identify the similarities between PTSD and Racial Trauma
  • Identify the importance of cultural humility when engaging with families of color
  • Identify ways to screen and treat Racial Trauma
