BIO:
Maribeth Gallagher is a doctorally prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Director of Hospice of the Valley’s internationally recognized Dementia Program. She serves as a dementia content expert for the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) and recently returned from Washington, DC, where she provided consultation to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on a project aimed at understanding the end-of-life care needs of older adults living with dementia. Dr. Gallagher was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Her deep commitment to improving dementia care was profoundly shaped by her personal experience as a family caregiver, walking alongside a loved one through the full journey of dementia—from diagnosis to death.
