Oncology Nursing Core Curriculum: Genetics in Nursing

This course explores the critical role of genetics in cancer development, with a focus on distinguishing between germline and somatic genetic variants. Nurses will learn how these variants contribute differently to oncogenesis and how genomic profiling informs cancer risk assessment, prevention strategies, and personalized management plans. Through case studies and current research, the course emphasizes the application of genomic information in clinical decision-making and cancer care.
