  • Identify the components of the spine 

  • Assess for spine and spinal cord injury 

  • Describe the initial management of the spinal cord injured patient 

  • Evaluate the long-term needs of the spinal cord injured patient  

  • Describe the effects of spinal cord injury on the rest of the body
