Title: “Surgical Abdomen in Children” 

Learning Objectives – Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Recognize the common clinical presentations and red-flag features of acute surgical abdomen in pediatric patients.

  • Differentiate between surgical and non-surgical causes of abdominal pain in children using history, physical exam, and imaging findings.

  • Formulate an evidence-based diagnostic approach to children presenting with abdominal emergencies.

  • Apply principles of timely surgical decision-making and multidisciplinary coordination to optimize outcomes in pediatric abdominal emergencies.
