Target Audience
Physicians involved in the perioperative care of patients including anesthesiologists, surgeons, internists, pediatricians, neurologists, radiologists, and emergency medicine physicians.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Critically appraise articles for their statistical value to critically assess their role in changing practices
- Contrast the benefits of various anesthetic techniques for seemingly simple procedures such as herniorrhaphy
- Interpret processed EEG signals to guide anesthetic management
- Evaluate the usefulness and value of cardiac support devices during anesthesia
- Discuss the pros of awake spine surgery
- Discuss the cons of awake spine surgery
