06/07/2022 - 8:00am to 9:00amSummary: Explaining to a child/teen that their loved one has just been diagnosed with a life limiting illness or may be facing imminent end of life can be extremely intimidating for not only parents but providers as well. Current literature in this area of knowledge tends to provide universal and vague recommendations. In this session, attendees will learn a process that focuses on supporting the unique needs of each family, while maintaining a similarly structured approach. In addition, attendees will be exposed to considering legacy building as something not just reserved for end of life.
