DESCRIPTION
A weekly conference for all providers who work within the transplant department and cardiology. We invite all physicians, fellows, nurses, and NPs who work with heart transplant patients.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Physicians that work within the transplant department and cardiology, as well as fellows, nurses, and NPs who work with heart transplant patients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review current medical therapies and outcomes in patients with advanced heart failure.
  • Assess up-to-date information on changing pharmacological interventions in patients with advanced CHF.
  • Manage patients following implantation of left ventricular assist devices.
  • Utilize current medical therapies both available and experimental for immune suppression following heart transplantation.
  • Identify up-to-date information on changing technologies in available and experimental devices for mechanical circulatory support.
  • Manage patients following heart transplantation and anticipating complications.
